HEIC Batch Converter

LIVE

Convert iPhone HEIC to JPG/PNG/WebP fully in-browser. Naver/Tistory/KakaoTalk presets for Korean platforms.

About this tool

HEIC Batch Converter (heic) turns iPhone / iPad HEIC photos into JPG / PNG / WebP entirely inside the browser. The page loads the libheif WebAssembly build and decodes / re-encodes locally β€” not a single byte is uploaded (verifiable via DevTools Network). Korean-platform presets are built in: Naver blog (2000px JPG q85), Tistory (1600px JPG q85), KakaoTalk (1200px JPG q80). It processes hundreds of files in 50-file batches to keep memory bounded and bundles results via JSZip into one ZIP. Stats show before/after file size and savings.

Use cases

Scenario 1

Naver blog photo prep

A blogger with 200 HEIC photos from a trip uses the Naver preset (2000px JPG q85) to batch-convert and upload the whole post in one go.

Scenario 2

KakaoTalk-friendly compression

When KakaoTalk rejects HEIC for Android friends, the KakaoTalk preset (1200px JPG q80) squeezes images under the 5 MB attachment cap.

Scenario 3

Legacy Windows / Photoshop

Batch-convert to PNG so legacy office PCs (no HEIC codec) or older Photoshop can open the files, with metadata (timestamp / GPS) preserved.

Scenario 4

Web forum upload rejection

Korean real-estate / second-hand forums reject HEIC. Convert to JPG and resize to 1600px in one step for faster uploads.

Frequently asked

Q. Why convert HEIC to JPG at all?
A. iOS 11+ stores HEIC by default β€” about half the size of JPG at equivalent quality. But Naver blog, KakaoTalk for Android, and some legacy Windows apps can’t open HEIC. Convert to JPG or WebP when you need broad compatibility.
Q. Are photos really not uploaded?
A. Correct. Conversion runs entirely in the libheif WASM module loaded once. Open the DevTools Network tab and run a conversion β€” no upload requests appear. The tool also works fully offline after the first load.
Q. How many photos can I convert at once?
A. Around 200–500 photos at a time work reliably on a typical 16 GB RAM PC. The 50-file batch loop bounds memory use, so dragging a whole folder doesn’t freeze the browser.
Q. Is EXIF (timestamp / GPS) preserved?
A. EXIF is preserved by default. If you’re uploading to SNS / blogs and want to strip location data, toggle "Remove EXIF" before converting.
