ℹ️ Additional info

Combined pattern

Normal pattern

Both TSH and Free T4 are within the reference range, so thyroid function appears normal.

👉 If there are no other concerns, follow your usual checkup schedule. If you have symptoms despite normal values, you can still see a doctor.

Position vs. reference range

TSH2.5 µIU/mLNormal

The grey band is the normal reference range. (0.4~5.1)

Free T41.2 ng/dLNormal

The grey band is the normal reference range. (0.8~1.9)

How do TSH and Free T4 differ?

TSH is the 'control signal' the pituitary sends to the thyroid, while Free T4 is the actual hormone the thyroid produces. When hormone is low the body raises the signal (TSH); when it is high, it lowers it. So the combination of signal (TSH) and actual hormone (FT4) reveals the pattern.

Reference range & basis

  • 📏 Adult general reference: TSH 0.4–5.1 µIU/mL, Free T4 0.8–1.9 ng/dL, Free T3 2.3–4.2 pg/mL (Korean lab composite, editable)
  • 🧭 Logic: TSH × Free T4 combination interpretation per Korean Thyroid Association guidance and standard internal-medicine texts

※ Reference ranges vary by lab, analyzer, age, and pregnancy. This tool's read is for reference only and is not a medical diagnosis.
