Baby Sleep Tracker

LIVE

Baby sleep guide by age with nap count, wake windows, next-sleep time, and regression alerts.

About this tool

Baby Sleep Tracker generates a same-day nap + night-sleep schedule from baby age (0~24 months) and first wake time, based on age-appropriate Wake Windows. Newborn 0~3mo: WW 45~90 min, 4~5 naps. 12mo: WW 3~4h, 2 naps. 18mo: 1 nap. Built on AAP recommended sleep durations and international pediatric sleep medicine. Flags 4-, 8-, and 18-month sleep regressions and includes swaddle / white-noise graduation tips. Free, no signup; inputs stay in your browser.

Use cases

Scenario 1

Newborn first week

For a 5-day-old, follow the 45-min WW and check the next sleep time each cycle to avoid overtiredness and crying from missed sleep cues.

Scenario 2

4-month regression

Get the 4-month regression alert plus a "drowsy-but-awake" tip set to ride out the typical 2-6 week regression.

Scenario 3

12mo 2-to-1 nap transition

Use the WW 3-4h guide to time the 2-to-1 nap transition and avoid an early switch that wrecks night sleep.

Scenario 4

Working parent night-sleep optimization

Confirm the recommended last-nap end (6 PM) and bedtime (7:30 PM) so your work schedule lines up with baby sleep.

Scenario 5

Swaddle graduation

When rolling starts (3-5mo), the tool flags an immediate stop-swaddling alert to prevent suffocation risk; transition to a sleep sack.

Frequently asked

Q. How precise must Wake Windows be?
A. Β±15 min is fine. Recommendations are a starting point β€” follow your baby cues (eye rub, yawn) and tune over 1~2 weeks.
Q. How long does the 4-month regression last?
A. 2~6 weeks typically. The brain permanently shifts to adult-style cycles, so teach "drowsy-but-awake" now. If >10 weeks, consult a pediatrician.
Q. Why are naps only 30~40 min?
A. Infant sleep cycles are 40-50 min, so they wake at the cycle boundary. WW timing, dark room, and white noise are the top 3 fixes.
Q. When to graduate from swaddle / white noise?
A. Stop swaddling immediately when rolling starts (3-5mo) β€” suffocation risk. Keep white noise under 50dB and at least 1m away (AAP).
Q. How do I apply age for a preemie?
A. Use corrected age (from due date) up to 12 months, and weigh developmental signs. Enter corrected age into the tool.
