About — Korean Address English Converter

Overview

The Korean Address English Converter (addrkr) converts Korean-language addresses into the reversed English format used for international shipping, visas, and official documents. All processing happens in your browser — no data is sent to any server.

Conversion Algorithm

• Administrative unit mapping: Official English names for all 17 provinces/metropolitan cities and 50+ major districts are stored in a lookup table.
• Romanization: Addresses not in the table are converted using the Revised Romanization of Korean (2000) syllable decomposition.
• Parsing: Input text is split into tokens and classified as province, district, road name, building number, and detail.
• Reversal: Components are reassembled in reversed international order.
