The statutory retirement age applies to employees at workplaces with a retirement-age system.
What is continued employment?
Continued employment lets workers keep working past the statutory retirement age (currently 60). Three approaches are discussed.
- 📈 Extension — raise the retirement age itself to 63/65
- 🔁 Re-hire — renew the contract after retirement (may adjust pay/role)
- 🚫 Abolition — remove the retirement-age system entirely
