How to apply (5 steps)
- 1Confirm your eligibility and prepare your passport, ARC (residence card), and proof of departure (flight ticket).
- 2Open or keep a bank account that can receive an international transfer (your Korean account, or an overseas account with SWIFT/IBAN).
- 3Apply at an NPS branch before you leave Korea, or by mail/online after departure. Apply within 5 years of becoming eligible.
- 4Submit the lump-sum refund claim form, ID, and your bank details. NPS reviews and confirms the amount.
- 5Receive the refund by transfer. Check whether the amount is taxable in your home country.
