About this tool
Korean Payslip Generator (imgeum) drafts a PDF wage statement that satisfies Korean Labor Standards Act Β§48 (mandatory since Nov 2021) in under a minute. It auto-populates all 11 required fields β name, DOB, payday, gross wage, base pay, allowances, deductions, overtime calc β and computes overtime (1.5Γ), night (0.5Γ), and holiday (1.5β2Γ) allowances from the ordinary-wage hourly rate. The 4 social insurances (NPS, NHIS, EI, WCI) plus income / local tax deductions are filled in too. Output is A4 PDF + KakaoTalk-/email-ready images, with a CSV bulk mode for multi-employee runs. - Q. Who must issue payslips?
- A. Every workplace with at least one employee must issue payslips on payday β written or digital β under Β§48. Non-issuance can incur up to β©5M per employee.
- Q. Is delivery via KakaoTalk acceptable?
- A. Yes β KakaoTalk, email, and intranet are all accepted as long as the employee can read a PDF or image. Keep delivery logs for at least 3 years.
- Q. How often are insurance rates updated?
- A. Updated each January per government notice. The 2026 schedule (NPS 9% / NHIS 7.09% / EI 1.8%) is auto-applied.
- Q. Is employee data safe?
- A. All calc and PDF generation happens client-side. Employee names, RRNs, and account numbers are never uploaded.
