Pet Vaccination Schedule

LIVE

Dog & cat vaccination schedule based on WSAVA·AAFP guidelines with ICS calendar.

About this tool

Pet Vaccination Scheduler takes a dog or cat’s DOB plus prior-vaccination history and generates a schedule per WSAVA + AAFP + AAHA guidelines plus Korea’s mandatory rabies law: dogs get DHPP (distemper / hepatitis / parvo / parainfluenza) 3–4 doses at 6–16 weeks + rabies at 12–16 weeks + monthly heartworm; cats get FVRCP (viral rhinotracheitis / calici / panleukopenia) 3–4 doses + rabies + optional FeLV. Splits Core vs Non-core, exports a Google/Apple/Outlook-compatible ICS file, prints a vet-visit PDF, and ships bilingual KO/EN UI. All math runs in the browser.

Use cases

Scenario 1

New-puppy first schedule

For a newly adopted 8-week puppy, get the full DHPP 3-dose + rabies + monthly heartworm schedule as one ICS and add to calendar.

Scenario 2

Cat FVRCP booster

For a kitten, schedule FVRCP × 3 + the 1-year booster — even indoor cats need the full course.

Scenario 3

Annual rabies booster

Korea law requires annual rabies — auto-alert in spring/fall when local governments offer free shots.

Scenario 4

Monthly heartworm reminder

Schedule monthly heartworm preventives (oral / topical / injectable) to match the 45–60-day larval window.

Scenario 5

Travel / boarding prep

For overseas travel or boarding (rabies certificate required), forecast renewal dates ahead of the trip.

Frequently asked

Q. Why does DHPP need 3–4 doses?
A. Maternal antibodies wane unpredictably between 6–16 weeks; one shot can miss the window. WSAVA standard is 6 / 10 / 14 weeks + a post-16-week booster.
Q. Do indoor cats need FVRCP?
A. Yes — viruses travel via air, shoes, and visitors’ clothes, and panleukopenia has a 90%+ fatality rate. WSAVA/AAFP class FVRCP as Core.
Q. Is rabies vaccination mandatory in Korea?
A. Yes — Korea’s Animal Protection Act and Livestock Infectious Disease Act mandate rabies for dogs and cats over 3 months, with free spring/fall programs by district.
Q. Why monthly heartworm prevention?
A. Larvae transmit via mosquitoes and must be cleared within 45–60 days. Monthly dosing keeps you inside that window, and Korea has high enough infection rates to recommend year-round prevention.
Q. Is this an official tool?
A. No — it is an unofficial helper built on public WSAVA/AAFP/AAHA guidelines and Korean rabies law. Always vaccinate through a licensed vet.
